METHUSELAX - a novel
Is death inevitable? According to genetic engineer Clay Owen, the answer is no, and he intends to prove it. Using recombinant DNA methodology, he conducts experiments to reverse the aging process in laboratory mice and achieves promising initial results. Vivian Mors, the elderly executive at Methuselax Inc., pressures Clay to apply this new treatment to humans and offers herself as the first test subject. He is reluctant to comply without further development, and her insistence to proceed raises other questions - how will the prospect of immortality alter a person’s worldview, and what would some individuals be willing to do to control this priceless new technology?
